Showing up in Toyfare #62 was the very first ad to feature a custom figure. It was done by one of the most dedicated Stikfans out there, Shawn White, of White Studios. Shawn had loaned his custom to Hasbro for display at conventions, and wound up having it used for the ad. And immediately I began asking myself, "Why didn't I let Hasbro have any of my customs?"
